Install in Chrome in 4 steps

While the Chrome Web Store review is pending, the extensions install from the zip. Each step's screen is below; once installed, the extension stays.

Step 1

Download and unpack the zip

Download the extension's zip above and double-click to unpack it. You get a folder named after the extension; keep it, Chrome runs the extension from there.

Privacy: what is sent and what is not

Scores and the badge on the icon are computed entirely in your browser. Two conditions must both hold for anything to reach SEOLOK: you allowed it on first use and you opened the panel on that page.

If you allowed it, sent for the page you open the panel on

  • The page's address, with the query string and # part removed (so keys in sign-in links never leave)
  • The SEO / GEO scores and counts the extension computed (heading counts, broken links, redirect hops, measured speed values)
  • Your chosen location, browser language and time zone; an anonymous id created on install

Never sent

  • The page's text, forms, passwords, cookies
  • Pages you don't open the panel on, and your browsing history
  • localhost, IP addresses and internal network addresses

Your IP address is not stored; only an irreversible hash is kept to limit abuse. You can switch sending off in the extension's settings at any time.

Why two extensions?

Two readers look at a site today. The first is Google: the title, the description, the heading structure, the canonical tag, redirects, broken links and speed are the signals that decide rankings. The second is AI engines: when ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews answer a question, they check whether they can reach your site, whether they understand who you are and whether your text is clear enough to quote. Because the two readers want different things, we built two extensions; you can install both.

SEOLOK All-in-One: the full SEO radar

  • SEOLOK Signal Score (0–100): a weighted score of 20 checks. Title and meta description pixel ruler (600 and 960 pixels), a single H1 and heading order, word count and readability, image ALT text, canonical, meta robots and X-Robots-Tag, hreflang, Open Graph, JSON-LD and internal links.
  • Show on page (X-Ray): frames headings, nofollow links and images without ALT text on the live page.
  • Redirect chain and status code: shows which 301/302 hops led to the page.
  • Broken link check: opens the first 40 links one by one, the site's own links first.
  • Live Core Web Vitals: LCP, INP and CLS as your browser measured them on this visit.
  • Google results radar: next to every organic result it writes the real position, the title's pixel width and the estimated click-through rate of that position, with one-click links to the site's rank by country or Turkish province, a competitor comparison and a check of whether AI answers mention it.

Does AI See You?: the GEO and AI radar

On every site you visit, the toolbar icon shows a GEO score from 0 to 100. Open the panel to get a yes, partly or no answer to four questions:

  1. Can AI crawl you? robots.txt, meta robots and X-Robots-Tag are read separately for GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended and CCBot. For closed bots it generates an AI-friendly robots.txt that keeps your private paths closed.
  2. Does AI have your map? /llms.txt, /llms-full.txt and the sitemap are checked. Without an llms.txt it builds one from the site's title, menu and sitemap in seconds and lets you download it.
  3. Does AI know your entity? It looks at the JSON-LD schema with @id, sameAs, author and description; when they are missing it generates Organization, WebSite, WebPage and, where it fits, Article and FAQPage schema from what the page says.
  4. Will AI cite your content? It measures question headings, 40–60 word direct answers under them, lists and tables and the density of numbers, and tells you which paragraph to fix and how.

Right-click a selected text and choose "Do AI answers mention this?", or press the live test button in the panel, and our free AI visibility checker opens with your site and question; the question is asked live to ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode.

What we measure and what we don't

The extensions only judge what the browser sees: the page's source, the site's public files and the speed measured on that visit. They don't tell you whether an AI engine actually recommends you; the live test button asks the engines for that. Data over time, such as Search Console clicks, rank history and weekly AI visibility, lives in your SEOLOK account.

Frequently asked questions

Are the extensions paid, do I need an account?

No. Both extensions are free and work without an account. If you sign up for SEOLOK you can track the same site with Search Console data and get a to-do list and monthly report; that is not needed to use the extensions.

How do I install them while they are not in the Chrome Web Store?

Download the zip and unpack it into a folder, open chrome://extensions in Chrome, switch on Developer mode at the top right and choose Load unpacked with that folder. The steps above show every screen. Once the Web Store version is approved, the button on this page installs it in one click.

Are the sites I browse sent to SEOLOK?

Only when you open an extension's panel on a page and allowed it on first use: that page's address (without its query string), its scores and your chosen location. Page text, forms, passwords and pages you don't open the panel on are never sent, and you can switch it off in Settings at any time.

Are the scores Google's own?

No. The SEOLOK Signal Score and the GEO score are weighted summaries of the signals seen on the page and in the site's files; the panel shows how many points each check brings. They don't predict Google's or an AI engine's ranking decision, they show what is missing.

Why do the speed values differ from PageSpeed Insights?

The extension measures LCP, INP and CLS in your browser on this visit. PageSpeed Insights shows 28 days of real-user data or a lab test. They are different measurements; for a lasting view use our free Core Web Vitals checker.

Do they work in Edge, Brave or Opera?

Most Chromium-based browsers load Chrome extensions with the same steps. Some features such as the side panel and the badge may look different per browser; we recommend Chrome for the best experience.
