The problem it solves
"Where do we rank on Google?" rarely has a single answer. A phone in Istanbul and a laptop in Ankara can see different
results for the same query. Checking by hand is slow and misleading, because your browser folds in your own location,
language and history. Google's own documentation confirms that results are served with the user's location, language
and device in mind.
Then there is memory. Nobody remembers where a keyword stood last month. Without a record you cannot tell what changed
after an update, which page slipped, or whether the rewrite you shipped two weeks ago actually helped.
SEOLOK rank tracking handles both: it measures each keyword with a fixed location and device setting, on a regular
schedule, and keeps every result in date order.
How it works
- Add your keywords. Enter the terms you want to follow. If you are not sure where to start, the queries you already
get impressions for in Search Console make a good shortlist.
- Choose location and device. For each keyword, pick a whole country or one of Turkey's 81 provinces, and mobile or
desktop. You can track the same keyword in several provinces or on both devices.
- We measure. Our data infrastructure loads the live Google organic results with those settings, scans the top 30
and records the position of your site.
- History builds up. Growth and Boost add a new measurement every day; Free adds one each week. Every keyword gets
its own ranking timeline.
We also record what else sits on the results page. When a query shows a knowledge panel, images, video, a featured
snippet, an AI overview or a map, the row carries a note such as "Also: Images". That context matters: ranking third
beneath a large map pack is a different situation from ranking third on a page of plain blue links.
What the example shows
The table above is a simplified version of the rank tracking screen. Each row shows the keyword, where and on which
device it was measured, the current position and the change since the previous measurement. Green arrows mark gains,
red arrows mark drops, and the small notes list the extra results sections Google showed for that search.
The keywords and numbers in the example are illustrative. Your account shows your own keywords and your own site.
Use cases
- Local services: A clinic or a plumber tracks rankings only in the province they serve and sees the gap that a
national average hides.
- Mobile-first sites: If most traffic arrives on phones, tracking mobile separately exposes keywords that look fine
on desktop but lag on mobile.
- Measuring a content update: After rewriting a page, follow the ranking day by day. To put the change in context,
try the free rank change calculator.
- Client reporting: Date-by-date positions of tracked keywords flow straight into the
monthly PDF report.
When a tracked keyword drops sharply you don't have to wait for the next report: SEO alerts email you
about significant ranking drops.
Who it's for
- Business owners who want a regular, honest view of a handful of important keywords
- Companies serving several provinces that need a separate picture for each one
- Agencies and freelance SEO consultants who have to show clients a dated ranking history
- Content teams who want to check Search Console trends against specific keyword targets

single keyword. Keyword limits per plan are on the pricing page.
Limitations
- Location granularity: We measure at country or province level. We do not measure by district, neighbourhood or
coordinates, and Google can show different results in different parts of the same province.
- Scan depth: Tracking covers the top 30 results, so movement further down is not visible.
- Personalisation: Measurements run without a personal search history. A signed-in user may see something else.
- Intraday volatility: Results can change within a single day. One measurement is a snapshot; look at several in a
row before drawing conclusions.
- Frequency: On the Free plan measurements are weekly, so short-lived swings can slip between two readings.
