Which one to choose
Choose SEOLOK if
- You track up to a few hundred keywords. SEOLOK costs $19 to $49 a month for that; SE Ranking's smallest plan is $129.
- You would rather be told what to do next, with the evidence, than study dashboards.
- You look after a handful of small sites or clients and want reports under your own brand from $49 a month.
- You want your Search Console history kept past Google's 16 months, next to the rankings.
Choose SE Ranking if
- You track thousands of keywords: 2,000 for $129 is far cheaper per keyword than SEOLOK's plans.
- You want keyword research, competitor research and a site audit in the same subscription.
- You need Bing, YouTube or AI-answer tracking (ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews), which its rank tracker page lists and SEOLOK does not measure yet.
- You want white label with your own domain (its Agency Pack add-on) or a larger API allowance than the plans include (a separate add-on).
What SE Ranking is
SE Ranking sells one subscription that covers most of the daily work of an SEO or a small agency. Its public pages list daily rank tracking across the top 100 results on Google, Bing, Yahoo and YouTube on desktop and mobile, tracking of how often AI answers mention a site, keyword, competitor and backlink research, a website audit, and Data Studio, Matomo, Google Analytics and Google Search Console integrations. Its plans include API credits (25K a month on Core, 100K on Growth), and an API add-on gives more, from 3M credits for $45 a month billed annually. In 2026 it sells two self-serve plans, Core and Growth, and an Enterprise tier you ask for.
That breadth is the point of the product: the smallest plan already includes room for 2,000 keywords tracked daily across 10 projects. If most of that room would sit empty, you are paying for a toolkit you do not use.
Where SEOLOK is different
SEOLOK does fewer things on purpose. It measures where your keywords rank (daily on every paid plan), reads your Search Console and Analytics data in the same place, and turns the result into a ranked list of jobs: the page that sits just off page one, the title that earns few clicks, two of your pages competing for the same search. Each job comes with the evidence and an estimate, and when you mark it as done SEOLOK checks the live page and later shows before and after.
- The to-do list is the product. A rank tracker tells you where you are; SEOLOK is built to tell you what to do about it, in plain language.
- Your Search Console history stays with you. Google keeps 16 months; SEOLOK stores the days it imports, so the older ones do not disappear.
- The price starts low and stays predictable: $19, $49 or $149 a month, with twelve months for the price of ten if you pay yearly. There is also a free plan for one site and a free rank checker that needs no account.
- Reports under your own brand come with Pro, not as an add-on.
Where SE Ranking is stronger
It would be unfair to compare a broad platform with a focused tool and pretend the broad one has nothing extra to offer. SE Ranking does, and for some work it is the better choice:
- Scale. Its Core plan tracks 2,000 keywords and Growth 5,000; SEOLOK's largest plan tracks 1,000.
- Breadth. Keyword research, competitor research and a site audit sit in the same account. SEOLOK has no keyword database: it tracks the keywords you give it, shows you the searches Google Search Console reports, and audits your own site.
- More places to rank. SE Ranking lists Bing, Yahoo and YouTube tracking and tracking of AI answers (ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews). SEOLOK measures Google; its AI visibility feature is still being prepared.
- Agency tooling. White label (your logo, colours and domain) comes with its Agency Pack add-on, from $69 a month billed annually; its page lists 10 client seats and unlimited white-label reports. A larger API allowance is a separate add-on.
What it costs for the same job
Prices are for monthly billing, as each company lists them on the day we checked. SE Ranking's own pages show a 20% discount for annual billing; SEOLOK charges ten months for twelve.
| What you track | SEOLOK and SE Ranking |
|---|---|
| 50 keywords on one site | SEOLOK: Tracker, $19 a month, covers 100 keywords daily (the free plan covers 10, weekly). SE Ranking: $129 a month, the smallest plan. |
| 300 keywords on up to 10 sites | SEOLOK: Pro, $49 a month. SE Ranking: Core, $129 a month. |
| 1,000 keywords on up to 30 sites | SEOLOK: Agency, $149 a month. SE Ranking: Core covers 2,000 keywords on 10 projects for $129; Growth covers 30 projects for $279. |
| 5,000 keywords | SEOLOK: not covered, its largest plan stops at 1,000. SE Ranking: Growth, $279 a month. |
Per keyword the picture reverses with volume. SE Ranking Core is about 6 cents per keyword a month at full use ($129 for 2,000); SEOLOK Pro is about 16 cents ($49 for 300). SEOLOK is cheaper in total when you track few keywords, and SE Ranking is cheaper per keyword when you track many.
How to decide in five minutes
- Count the keywords you actually need to follow, not the ones you might one day. Under about 300, SEOLOK's plans fit; over 1,000, SE Ranking does.
- Ask whether you will use keyword research and backlink-style tools inside the same subscription. If yes, the broader platform is worth its price; if you already have those tools elsewhere, it is not.
- Decide who reads the results. If it is you or a client who wants the next step in plain words, SEOLOK's list helps; if it is an analyst who wants raw data and filters, a bigger tool is more comfortable.
- Try both. SEOLOK gives 14 days of Pro without a card and a free plan; SE Ranking lists a 14-day trial. Add the same site and ten keywords to each and see which one you open again tomorrow.
